Adjacent to the lovely campus of Doshisha University is the temple complex of Sokokuji. I just happened to stumble upon the temple and was rewarded for my waywardness.
I just took a look through the photos you posted of Kyoto, they are fantastic and the old uni building is very nice. I must get back there some day and cycle around the city.
