These magnificent houses remind me of the movie, “Ella Enchanted”. The scenes in the movie are set in areas full of thatched houses, just like the ones in the photos above. Their unusual facade makes a perfect setting for a movie full of magic and fantasy.

These thatch roof houses are really nice to look at. Well, there are a lot of thatch roof villages in Japan. You will be amazed once you go there and you see thatch roof houses everywhere. Haha. And yes, the Kayabuki no Sato is one example of it. These houses are most likely ancestral houses and are seen usually in the green mountains in Japan.
